From Vibe Coding to Agentic Engineering

AI is changing the way software is built. Not by replacing developers, but by changing how they design workflows, guide agents and create guardrails around code generation.

During this tech session, itenium’s consultants explored how AI driven development is evolving from simple prompting to structured agentic engineering. The focus was not on becoming better “prompt engineers”, but on building better engineering systems around the prompt.

The session connected perfectly with itenium’s strong focus on continuous training and technical growth. Internal tech events are part of the way consultants keep learning, exchanging ideas and staying sharp in a fast-moving technology landscape.

What did consultants learn?

Context Engineering

How to treat context as a limited budget and provide agents with the right information at the right moment.

Compounding Engineering

How every AI session can improve the next by turning repeated corrections into reusable skills, hooks and team knowledge.

Harness Engineering

How deterministic guardrails, tests, linters and tooling keep AI-generated code reliable, reviewable and production-minded.

Why this matters

AI driven development is no longer about quick suggestions or isolated code snippets. The real value lies in structured workflows, deterministic feedback loops and reusable engineering patterns around AI agents. That same principle is reflected in itenium’s approach to AI automation: helping developers focus on high-quality software while repetitive development tasks become faster, more consistent and easier to scale.

Humans steer. Agents execute.

Live demo

The session included a live modernization demo: transforming a 20-year-old VB.NET WinForms game into C#/.NET 10/Avalonia using the Superpowers framework. From brainstorm to spec, plan, parallel sub-agents and multi-perspective code review.
